Glorify God In All He Has Done For You

February 13

“But let all those rejoice who put their trust in you;
let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them;
let those also who love your Name be joyful in you.”
Psalm 5:11

The unsaved, the unconverted, think believers live a life of restriction, stress and sorrow. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Believers are story tellers. Their greatest joy is in telling others the wonderful experiences the Lord brings into their lives, showing his presence with them in all they do. Ask any born-again person, and be prepared to hear story after story after story. These are the stories that keep a person going when trials come, because believers know they are NEVER alone, but their Lord is always, always with them, reminding them of the wonderful stories they have already experienced, which will strengthen and encourage them in time of need.

“When I remember you on my bed,
I meditate on you in the night watches.
Because you have been my help,
therefore in the shadow of your wings I will rejoice.”
Psalm 63:6-7

If you are a believer, think back over your walk with the Lord and bring to mind the stories he created in your life, incidents of guidance and direction, of provision, of changes in circumstance that could only have been brought about by God himself. As we bring these things back to mind, it will encourage us to be ever watchful, wanting to recognize those times when the God of the universe comes into our lives in a very, very real way. Share those stories with others; it will both give glory to God as well as encourage those who need encouragement.

“…that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble,
with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
2 Corinthians 1:4

Here are some short testimonies I’ve gathered and recorded from many believers:
