It Will Make All The Difference

December 7

“Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his face evermore!”
Psalm 195:4

Are you still relying on your own strength? In your work, in your hobbies, in your ministry?

One day I was reading in Proverbs and a Scripture jumped out to me, believers who read daily in the Word of God will understand that – it happens to all who feed in God’s word. The Holy Spirit “rhemafies” a passage, meaning it comes to life before the eyes of the reader.

It was Proverbs 16:3

“Commit your work to the Lord
and your thoughts will be established.”

I was appalled to see a PROMISE in the Bible that I had never noticed before! I read that over and over again and even looked it up in the Greek interlinear to make sure every word was translated correctly! From that day, I pray that every single morning, “Lord I commit my work to you, let therefore my thoughts be established.”

Things began to change in my ways of thinking. I literally saw this promise work in my life and this was totally amazing to me. And now not a day will go by that I won’t pray that before the Throne of Grace.

Whatever you do in life, pray first! Learn to cease relying on your own strength, your own talent, even your own understanding. Instead, go to the Father before anything that you do, commit your work to him, and you will begin to see an amazing difference.
