All Persecuted Will Receive Great Reward

April 26

“Yes, and all who desire to live Godly in Christ Jesus
will suffer persecution.”
2 Timothy 3:12

When you hear the word “persecution,” do you think imprisonment or death? So, you assure yourself, it’s unlikely that you will suffer either for your profession of the Gospel.

But the Scripture says “ALL” who live Godly in Christ Jesus …will suffer persecution.

It’s not just the vicious persecution believers in other countries go through. No, persecution can come in many forms. Have you been laughed at by family members or others, because of your beliefs? Have people labeled you “a religious fanatic,” or called you by other hurtful names? Do people stay away from you because of your faith? These are persecutions that most believers endure without realizing that they are persecutions. The Scriptures tell you to REJOICE when people say hateful things to you or about you.

“Rejoice???” Yes, rejoice! Because things are happening in the unseen spiritual world, the world we don’t see but that is very real,  that will lead to great, GREAT joy when the day comes that you stand before your Savior. Be encouraged, brother or sister, this will all be behind us and the joy of eternity is just ahead.

“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you,
and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake.
Rejoice and be EXCEEDINGLY GLAD,
for great is your reward in heaven…”
Matthew 5:11-12
