Are Your Sins Too Great To Be Forgiven?

April 17

“Also there were many priests,
because they were prevented by death from continuing.
But He, because he continues forever,
has an unchangeable priesthood.
Therefore he is also able
TO SAVE TO THE UTTERMOST

those who come to God through him,
since he always lives to make intercession for them.”
Hebrews 7:23-25

“…to save to the uttermost…”

If you think you’re too bad to be received by him, if you’ve come to a point of despair, turn your eyes upon Jesus who will save you “to the uttermost.”

Look at the picture of Christ on the Cross dying for the sins of humanity. Alongside him are two criminals also being crucified. One of them sarcastically said to him that if he is who he says he is, then get us all down off these crosses. He demanded that God perform a miracle – “IF” he is who he said he is.

The other turned to that first one and rebuked him, telling him that they were under the well-deserved death penalty because of their sins. Then he turned to Jesus and asked to be remembered when Christ comes into his Kingdom. Jesus turned to him and said:

“Assuredly, I say to you, today YOU will be with me in Paradise.”
Luke 23:43

Jesus Christ died on a cross between two criminals who represent all of us. We are ALL condemned by our sins. We are ALL under the death penalty.

“For the wages of sin is death…”
Romans 6:23

But salvation is granted to each sinner who turns to Christ in humility and faith, and asks to be received by him.

Jesus received a man guilty of sins great enough that he was receiving the death penalty. He also can save you …no matter what your sins have been.

Only believe.
